Our Programs

At Willunga Child Care Centre & Preschool, our programs are designed to reflect each child’s stage of development - so that they can grow, learn and thrive in a nurturing, playbased environment.

We follow a traditional play-based approach, where learning happens naturally through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Our focus is on holistic development - social, emotional, cognitive, and physical - so children are fully prepared for school and life beyond.

Tiny Teddies (2-3.5yr)

In the Tiny Teddies Class, children aged 2 to 3.5 embark on their early learning journey in a caring, creative space. Our focus is on developing confidence, basic motor and social skills, language growth and imaginative play. With playful routines and rich experiences, children learn to express themselves, engage with peers and begin to build independence in a warm, secure environment.

Busy Bees (3.5-6yr)

In the Busy Bees Class (ages 3.5 to 6), we build on the foundations established earlier and guide children through more structured play, early literacy and numeracy, collaborative projects, and school readiness skills. With both indoor and outdoor learning opportunities, children explore, question, and discover - becoming confident, curious learners ready for their next big step.

Transitional Class

In the Transitional Class (mixedage group), children from various age groups engage together, allowing older children to mentor younger ones and younger children to learn by observing. This setting fosters leadership, social responsibility, and flexible learning in a familiar, communityfeel environment. The focus is on bridging the gap towards formal schooling: strengthening communication, critical thinking, selfregulation, and cooperative play.
